Avized ("we," "us," or "our") operates Avized.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our Site. By using Avized, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

• Review submissions: When you submit a review, we collect your email address (stored only as a one-way cryptographic hash — your actual email is never stored), your practice type, tenure information, and review text.
• Email gate (PDF export): If you export a playbook as PDF, we may collect your email address to deliver the PDF and send occasional relevant updates. You may unsubscribe at any time.
• Contact inquiries: If you email us directly, we retain that correspondence.

Information collected automatically:

• Usage data: We collect standard web analytics data including pages visited, time on site, referral source, browser type, and device type via Google Analytics. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
• Cookies: We use cookies for analytics and to remember site preferences. You can disable cookies in your browser settings.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To publish and moderate user reviews (email hash only — never displayed).
• To send PDF exports and, with your consent, occasional product updates.
• To understand how the Site is used and improve it.
• To prevent spam, abuse, and duplicate submissions.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data Retention

Review email hashes are retained indefinitely to prevent duplicate submissions. Email addresses collected via the PDF gate are retained until you unsubscribe. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing hello@avized.com.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the Site:

• Google Analytics — web traffic analysis (anonymized IP)
• Supabase — database hosting for reviews and vendor data
• Netlify — site hosting and serverless functions

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing data they process on our behalf.

6. AI-Generated Content

Vendor profiles, implementation playbooks, and other content on this Site may be generated with the assistance of AI tools. No personal information you submit is used to train AI models. See our Terms of Use for important disclaimers about the accuracy of AI-generated content.

7. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information submitted to the Site. Review email addresses are immediately hashed on receipt — we store the hash, not the email. No system is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of data transmitted over the internet.

8. Children's Privacy

Avized is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance.
