What MouthWatch / TeleDent does
MouthWatch combines low-cost intraoral camera hardware with the TeleDent software platform to enable teledentistry at scale. TeleDent allows community health workers, nurses, or hygienists to capture intraoral images that are reviewed asynchronously by a supervising dentist — a model called virtual dental homes. This approach is particularly effective in school-based, nursing home, and federally qualified health center (FQHC) settings. MouthWatch has received grant funding for public health teledentistry programs and has a strong presence in underserved care settings.

What to evaluate
